Massive world tours. Over a hundred million albums sold. Groupies galore. Every day is a party for Viper and the guys of TBD, the biggest rock band in the world. But it all comes to a screeching halt when the lead singer walks out of the studio one day and never comes back.

Ear-blistering vocals. Butchered lyrics. Fame chasers. After months of lackluster auditions, Viper, the lead guitarist and resident bad boy of the group, is ready to find solace in the bottom of a bottle. Time’s running out, and the pressure’s on to find a new singer, but it isn’t until an angel walks through the door that the band’s prayers are answered. Charismatic. Talented. Magic behind the mic. Halo is everything they’ve been looking for. With a voice to match his stunning good looks, it isn’t long before Viper’s taking notice.

But there are several reasons this is a bad idea:

  1. Interpersonal relationships in the band are discouraged
  2. Viper has already broken rule #1 - big mistake
  3. Halo is straight

Too bad Viper’s body isn’t listening to his head - at least not the one on his shoulders. But you can’t fake chemistry, not onstage and certainly not off it, and Viper and Halo? They have it in spades.

As both men try to resist the fire blazing between them, and the band is forced to reinvent themselves, it’ll be a complicated rise back to the top. But from the ashes of what was, something beautiful is born. Something better. And when the world finally sees Halo stretch his wings, they’ll discover what it’s like to fall for an angel.

I loved Halo and Viper. Their chemistry was off the charts and I felt the characters were realistic and stayed true even as their relationship progressed. im looking forward to listening to the rest of the series. narration was great!

This book is freaking sexy. The cover? Smoking.
Is there a lot of plot? Nah. But there are other books for that.

Viper is the super hot, bad boy guitarist who ran the last singer of their mega huge rock band off after a relationship gone bad. Halo is the angel faced straight boy who shows up to turn their luck around by becoming their new lead singer and help them reinvent themselves. And Viper wants the newbie.

There's so much sexual tension in this book, you could cut it with a knife. It's a slow burn, flirty, super inappropriate book.

The song that Viper wrote about Halo is so cringe. The band loved it. Are they out of their minds? That was so icky.

The audio was great. Charlie David uses such distinct voices for each character that it sounds like a duet narration. I really liked this audio quite a bit. Viper is all gritty and growly, Halo sounds young and more innocent. I really recommend the audio.

I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series. This is a great palate cleanser after reading some heavy, sad stuff.

This book was so good! Very well written. Story line was good. I like that it didn't seem like a cheap/poorly written romance. I love the build up of the romance between the two characters. Sadly, it finished too quickly. I was so into it, that 7 plus hours went by quickly. Can't wait four book 2! Definitely recommend! Narrator was awesome. please don't change that in the second book

Love me a rockstar romance

First of all, I really enjoyed this book. There was so much sexual tension and it was really hot. It was a great story with great narration...
BUT...
There was a whole lot of background noise going on for some reason...I eventually got used to it, but it was aggravating at first. Not sure what was going on with that....
While I really enjoyed this book, it did not fee like it was a complete story. I see that it is a series, so I am really hoping that the next book is a continuation of the relationship between Halo and Viper and not just jumping into another bandmate. The book was over before I knew it and it didn't feel like it was almost 7.5 hours. There really was little angst and I felt like there was the potential for much more. I will definitely get the next book in the series when it is available, but just as I said before, I hope we can see more of what happens with them.

HOTTTT, great BEGINNING to a story
