It was too long…

I just feel like the book dragged, the time they spent at Axel’s felt endless with no progression. I really liked the ending, I was honestly shocked at what happens at the end and how it didn’t seem to bother Avery at all nor Wyatt. The book was unnecessarily long, we could’ve gotten to the end sooner without losing much but it’s okay. I’m left with questions about Meg’s and Avery’s relationship but now I know we get a book about Meg so I’m very excited.

Story great, but huge plot hole (SPOILER)

This whole series overall was pretty great. I really enjoyed most of it. However, I am a bit peeved that while Meg had a couple chapters in the series from her POV, she was basically just written out of the story. Yes, she got rescued, but she basically just gets whisked off to a facility and there’s little to no mention of her again. Just that she’s off in some facility with Dax’s cousin looking after her, never to be heard from again. IMO, what happened to her was just as integral as what happened to Avery. They were both victims of the same crap decisions of their parents. Meg and Avery were supposed to be best friends and then found out they were sisters. Meg just basically abandoned Avery and left. Blaming Avery, just like Wyatt did for other people’s decisions. And it’s never addressed. And Avery just accepts it and moves on. And then Meg is just gone once she’s rescued. Big plot hole. How do you not address the rift between her and Avery? How do you just write her out of the story? Like Avery’s best friend is just gone and that’s that. Ruined the ending for me.
