With the cycle of the year relentlessly advancing and most of the cat-eared survivors focused on agriculture, his available teammates are somewhat limited:
Rob, a future leader before the monsters came, feels certain he’s the best choice to lead the operation.
Jasper, annoyed with Darin for horning in on his action, has a biting wit and eliminating a rival on his mind.
Luna, a short, cute, burgeoning fire mage, just wants to ‘Nuke’ things, and Darin quickly regrets explaining certain concepts to her, like ‘Carpet Bombing’…
Tabby wants to avenge her father and is probably the most focused of the group.
And then there’s Astrid.
She looks just like Darin’s last girlfriend, but has such a wild streak he’s thinking of nicknaming her ‘Ms. Battle Junkie’.

With this ragtag group of cat-eared folk, focusing on the mission at hand proves difficult since three of his team are all but fighting over him, and the other two look like they might want to feed him to the monsters…
