It was ok!

Another new-to-me author thanks to the romance package. This story was just okay for me. While I did find it entertaining and the storyline held my attention, I just didn't connect with the characters. There seemed to be no build to the relationship. Yeah, granted it was a couple of years that they had known each other but I just never felt it. It was all just two-dimensional.
This narration is not a favorite at all. They weren't hard to listen to, it was just that they didn't bring the story to life. It was just a plain old reading of the story. I like voice changes and inflections. There was none of that.
I will still truck on with this series though. This bookwhore needs to Deanna's story.

The story of Talon and Zara was real and strong. I can't wait to hear more! Excellent narration as well.

I love a story where the characters act like real people. The author didn't throw in angst just to make a book longer. Hiding Out was a perfect blend of just what it should be.

Over all it was a good book. Made it to have more than one person reading. Needed to have a man reading in the man Roles!

Ballerat Hawks MC begins...

I really thought this audiobook was entertaining and the story was fast paced and moved along. The hero, Talon, is the president of all the Hawks MC. He meets the heroine, Zara, when she settles in Ballerat after fleeing a brutal husband and divorcing him. She’s been hiding, but everything eventually comes to a head when her ex arrives in town. They had a daughter her ex didn’t know about, so Talon and the club are set to protect them. Narration was well performed.
