Total entertainment. That is what this book is. Lucy only goes home twice a year. The first time, Thanksgiving gets her into some trouble. After her overbearing parents try to arrange her love life, she lets loose that she is engaged. To Justin, the one who ghosted her. Now she hits him up to play her fake fiance for a week at Christmas, to which is thrilled. His second chance to win her back, he does his best. But will it be enough? And when she finds the reason for his ghosting, how will it play out? This is fast paced, fun, humorous and completely frustrating all at the same time. I could not stop listening! The perfect listen for the holidays!

Ava Erickson and Mason Lloyd are perfectly cast for this listen. Erickson is Lucy, happy in her own skin, frustrated with her parents and completely in love with Justin. Each inflection reveals her feelings. Lloyd is Justin, impossible not to fall for. He finds the heart of Justin and makes him wonderful. This is a great team and fantastic listen.

Holiday Romance

Justin and Lucy what a beautiful Holiday novella. Love this series and these books on audio are pretty perfect. Getting to know Justin better was a treat. And Lucy, she was definitely the perfect match for him. The forced proximity and one bed tropes are my favorite in this story. Love all the fun, romance and steamy moments. Excellent performance by the narrators.

Holidate Pursuit (The Pursuit #2)

This story was fun and spicy and I really enjoyed it! I’d already “met” both characters from listening to the previous story, but I didn’t “know” them, if that makes sense. They turned out to be quite perfect for each other, and I had the best time listening to them develop into a couple. It’s a really quick story so I won’t give anything to say except to say that it was engaging and captivating. I loved the banter and wit. The chemistry sizzled and sparked. There were plenty of humorous moments along with more heartwarming ones. It was truly a well-rounded holiday novella!

🎧This audiobook was performed by 🎤Ava Erickson as Lucy and 🎤Mason Lloyd as Justin, in dual-style narration. I’ve always enjoyed Ava’s performances, and this one was no different. I’d never listened to Mason before and if I’m being honest, I can’t say that I enjoyed him as a narrator. Maybe it’s a case of the “first-time-listen” where it can be jarring to your senses listening to a new narrator, but his voice and my senses were not jiving in the least. The first half of the story is in Lucy’s POV so it wasn’t until chapter 9 that the story turns to Justin’s POV which is when Mason’s narration begins and that, I think, saved the audio experience for me. This is not a case of “bad performance” at all, it’s a “voice-jive” thing and very much a “me” thing. It still impacted “my” experience, so here we are … 3 STAR overall for narration, with a resounding 5 STAR for the story, makes for an overall 4 STAR experience!
