HOODWINKED

This is another good book about Harry Starke. In this book Isla is killed. They think she fell off her horse and died. Harry dosent think so. Kate tries to keep him away. But he is friends with her husband and her and he has to find out what happened. Harry learns an important lesson in this book. Tom Lennon does a great job narrating this book.

Howard still manages to make each book unique

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Harry is big touch, smart, yet still an emotional human being. Tough guy with a real heart. Each is stand alone, but I do recommend reading in order. All are good, and all are unique plots, Don't know how Howard comes up with such variety.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Well has to be Harry.

Which character – as performed by Tom Lennon – was your favorite?

Harry. After 12 books I can't imagine a different voice at this point.

This is as good a modern detective series as is out there. Love to see a movie.

Good going Blair

I loved catching up with Harry. He is quite entertaining. And I love the narrator.

Excellent narration

Isla a prominent Dr. news saying she died from a fall off her horse. Harry was a close friend of her husband. Curiosity he goes to the autopsy, Lt.Kate is there, and wondering, why he is, then he knows, the husband is a suspect. Jim was a pussycat, he appreciated life, a vet. Harry, tired of being semi retired and a pencil pusher, trying to write a book. Wants to
dig into the case, something wasn’t right, and it was bugging him. Kate, is like a pit bull, and doesn’t want Harry anywhere near the case. The lawyer Harry recommended think’s Jim is guilty, also. Interviewing the husband, opens another whole scenario, which surprises Harry. They can find plenty of players, but no evidence. This was a great plot, the characters are all there, like a chess game, but who is going to win. The outcome is surprising, Harry is stunned. He did a fabulous job with this story. PI Harry Starke murder

I like the Harry Starke audible books and the narrator is awesome. The characters are fun and dedicated to their friends and jobs.
When Harry finds out one of his best friends, Jim is being arrested for the murder of his wife, Ila. Harry is convinced Jim could not have done it.
All the evidence points to Jim, but Harry believes he is being set up. Is he or did he do it?? Hmmm.
