Ziggy: I'm the youngest player on the National Soccer team, the baby of my family, and sick of being underestimated, so I've decided to take matters into my own hands. Which is where my brother's best friend and teammate, Sebastian, comes in.

Seb needs to rehab his reputation. I want to give mine an edge. So I propose a fake friendship with real benefits: spending time in the public eye, my good-girl image and his bad-boy notoriety rubbing off on each other. He's my devious, dark-haired fantasy come to life, but his destructive ways make it easy to keep him in the (fake) friend zone. Or so I thought.

Sebastian: I've been spiraling downward, and finally I've hit rock bottom. My hockey career and sponsorships are in jeopardy, and while I'm not ready to reform my ways, I'm happy to pretend that I have, to secure the life I'm on the brink of losing.

So when Ziggy proposes a public "friendship" to revamp our reputations, it's an offer I can't refuse. Up till now, I've stayed away from Ren's little sister to avoid any risk of ruining my one good friendship. But I reassure myself there's no risk in our scheme. I'll fake a friendship with Ziggy, fix my reputation, and get back to hockey.

Another knock out from The Bergman Brothers series! CJ Bloom & Nelson Hobbs do an excellent job of bringing Ziggy & Seb’s story to life! This is definitely a top book of the year for me!

I really enjoyed this. I laughed and felt so much for the both of them and their growing family. I appreciate how the characters have struggled with themselves in ways that are so relatable. Struggled with love from friends, family, others. Hard to be seen and noticed for a great person you are. This was a very wonderful story.

I did feel at times that the story was going to lead in a few different ways.

1. She wants to be noticed for the adult badass independent women she wants to be in front of the media. (I felt like drama from the media would play into it causing them to get closer or provide more detailed history from their past. More hardships to work through).

2. When she announced herself to Seb she was a bisexual independent women. (When I heard this I felt like the story was going to lead into a love triangle with her, Seb, and her best friend).

The story instead ended up being a slow burn mutual respect for each other caring as fake friends, turned to real friends as they matured along the way. The promises they made were so adorable. The gestures, the honesty between them really made it into a lovely story.

On to the next and last one. I'm not crying you are. I don't want these stories to end.

A cute slow burn.

Oh my heart! This is a heartwarming, endearing, sweet and witty tale of two unlikely people finding solace in one another. I absolutely adore Sebastian and Ziggy. Sebastian could have been a little unruly but when it came to Ziggy he turned into a teddy bear. I enjoyed going on this delightful adventure with them. CJ Bloom and Nelson Hobbs did a phenomenal job bringing these characters to life.

Six down, one more to go, I am having so much fun listening to Chloe’s Bergman family series. Nelson Hobbs and CJ Bloom do such a great job bringing these characters to life.

It’s Ziggy Bergman’s turn for a HEA, and with her love for romantasy the bar is set pretty high. As the youngest Bergman, Ziggy has a hard time being seen as the adult she is, her family, as loving and kind as they are still treat her like she’s a kid and she’s tired of it, so she comes up with a plan. This is where Seb comes in, the troublesome hockey player that needs to clean up his image. Can Ziggy get noticed while Seb gets it together? And the real question is, can they do it and not fall for each other?

This is a friends to lovers, brothers best friend story that is so much more than its tropes. I love listening to Chloe’s books, she gives her characters layers, and real life experiences that are relevant and meaningful. I have one last Bergman, and I am going to be so sad when I’m done. Do not miss out on this series, it’s just too good to miss.

These Bergmans are the family you want!
