Vivian and her other assistant, Gracie, set out to help clear Jenna's name, using their wit and a bit of criminology know-how Vivian picked up from her late attorney husband.

Detective Messina is on board, but he's starting to develop feelings for his number one suspect. Puzzling questions persist - chief among them whose clothes Dean was wearing when he landed on the rocky shore. To complicate matters, Vivian's friend, pet-shop owner Hal Douglass, seems to know some secrets about the hotel that could add a long list of names to the suspect list...including Hal's own. Vivian must work quickly because, if she can't, Jenna faces a murder rap - or worse.

Great listen

I really enjoy this author & this book did not disappoint. The book has clean language and no sec scenes which I appreciate. Delightful…

Why change?

The author wrote three books with a grandmother and granddaughter that were good. Not sure why she changed characters. These are not as good. Annoying in parts. Light read. Not sure I’ll read more.

you know the answer, just need to get there.

I like the author and the narrator is great. but this series is a bit too similar to others by the author. and sadly. the answer can be seen after a few chapters. thankfully speeding up the narration helped. the story can be listened to in a day and the characters are likeable.. but the story is just meh... prefer the Merry ghost Inn series better

The story was well laid out and kept me wanting to know more. I finished this in one day.

Loved it!

Loved it! Story was good, left you wondering until the end. I would have liked more difference in the voices by the reader. Sometimes I lost track of who was saying what. I especially loved that this was another good clean read. Thanks!
