The writing is beautifully vivid and descriptive.
The character development and storylines have been excellent. (which is often lacking in LEO/procedurals)
The mysteries are tight with some twists both surprising and worth the ride.
These huge and stunning backdrops of mountain ranges, fields, rivers and wildlife are so well written.
Don’t let all my gushing fool you—your heart will be pounding and the violence can be graphic & break your heart. This is not a “cozy mystery”—these books have “True Grit”.
The narrator does an excellent job keeping MANY characters distinctive and clear. (Thanks also for not making the women sound insipid with whiny falsettos or the men monotonous with depth.)
