Fast-paced & well written

I really enjoyed this story! The narrator did an excellent job and the story itself was fun and engaging. I love a military scifi and this delivered!

Engaging, Intense, and so much Fun!

Love how this story hooks you right away with interesting political intrigue and the right blend of story + action.

The narrator is fantastic and does a great job highlighting the different personalities throughout the story. He engages you in the adventure at a whole new level!

A Fun First Book, But

I enjoyed the book but won't remember it in a day or two. The author, Charles Hack, has created a fun universe with a good character set. I liked a lot of what this book came to the table with. I found that some books and narrators don't really fit well together. The narrator here did an excellent job but I found that I had to run play back at 1.3 to enjoy his style of pacing. The narrator adds a lot of flair and personal characterizations to the characters he is narrating and I enjoyed those inflections a lot. He made them come alive. Thank you. There are some weak spots with the story but over all, easily over looked as the story pacing kept things moving along. A good first book IMHO. I might not jump right into book 2 but I will eventually give it a listen as well.

Love this reader and story!!

I am super sensitive to audio readers and this story was incredibly engaging and the reader brought it to life in such an engaging way! I was so invested and had it on constantly! The story is clean and entertaining full of both serious themes and incredibly timed humor! Can’t wait for the next book in the series on audio!

Excellent storytelling!

Great story full of explosive action, amazing characters, both good and bad, and I really loved the science and tech used in the story. Definitely made me want to get the next book to find out what happens next!!!
