Fantastic

Rigby creates a fascinating and amusing world, with solid characters and an interesting plot. Loved it. I hope there are many more Isaac Steele novels to come.

Prepare to have your expectations exceeded...

Ever chary of writers narrating their own work, I wonder now if this book could be narrated by anyone else!
An unlikely future, peopled with unlikely aliens and even more unlikely machines which feel pain, suffer from neuroses, heartbreak, and depression -- by choice -- Daniel Rigby's world(s) of Greatest Britain is served up to the listener largely through truly side-splittingly hilarious dialog, where his amaranthine inventiveness presents a perfect pasquinade that will have you laughing out loud without (literally hitting) pause.
His narration -- a performance, really -- of so rich a panoply of memorable characters is peerless; with his seemingly effortless voice characterizations set to a score, an actual underlying score of atmospheric moods with Foley artists chiming in at appropriate junctures.
Audible has outdone themselves with this one, and I would happily buy Daniel Rigby's Isaac Steele to re-read if ever it's taken off the included list (or a new Rigby comes along)!

Made me feel at least 3 coffees alive!

This was one of the most amazing rides I’ve been on in a while. I usually can’t stay engaged with Audiobooks but this story was really great. It’s worldbuilding was simple yet immense, you could see how The Discovered Universe was held together with so little description. Can’t wait for a sequel, also a physical copy is in dire need.

Best book in a long time!

My only complaint is that this author doesn’t currently have any more titles available! This book is so good. Dry humor, fast paced, just delightful. I’ve listened to this multiple times and keep finding new gems. I’m just sad every time I finish it because there isn’t more…I’ll be following this author eagerly awaiting the next title they release.

I loved this book! I stumbled across it as recommended by Audible. I enjoyed the humor, the reading by Mr. Rigby, and the sound affect. I hope they do another book really soon. This book will not be for everyone, but it was perfect for me. More Please!
