Jonah!!

Jonah’s book did not disappoint. I really enjoyed this book. I hope Tanner gets his own book, eventually. Thank you, Tijan for all that you do when creating worlds that consume your readers. You’re truly amazing!

Entertaining

4.5 Stars ⭐️ Jonah is from a mafia family. He lived a straight life in Texas, working as a doctor. Then his fiancé, Melissa, was murdered. Carson is the coroner, and she let him into the morgue to say goodbye to her. However, someone lured Carson to Kansas City, and that’s when she and Jonah ran into each other at a club. However, Jonah didn't believe in coincidences, so he kidnapped her. They had sexy times after he figured out that she wasn't a villain. The romance is quick, but good. It had a solid plot and well developed characters. I had a good time!

narration

the guy was very breathy and monotone. holly Warren was fantastic though. I'd still listen again regardless. the story is great except for the 2 meeting insta love.

the narrators

I love Tijan. I own all of her books, and most I have them on audiobooks as well, and for the most part I have enjoyed the voice actors, this book however the man ruined it with his growling instead of just speaking normally. It reminded me of how horrible Christian Bale did as Batman. The growling desperate voice just ruined this audio for me.

Love Hate relationship with the audiobook

I hate hate hated the male narrator! His voice made it so hard to listen to the audiobook, The story was good though, not great like the first book but still good.
