Critic reviews

Exciting, adventurous, exotic. A book for people who like stories with brilliant ideas and interesting places. The main character is brave, kind and loves reading!

A light, fun adventure story. Tightly written and beautifully performed. Perfect for a car ride with tweens.

The book is abridged and you are not told that at time of purchase. I have listened to the story many times on CD. Although the narration is good and the story is excellent-it is marred by the interference of the thought police. Abridging the book is a travesty.
