Paige Roman is out for revenge. Not just any revenge; she’s out to mend her recently shattered heart. Her ex, Wyatt, is going to pay, and the best way to make that happen is to seduce the girl he’s always wanted but has never caught: Esme Bell. To be fair, the dark-haired bartender with the infectious laugh is the girl just about everyone wants, and Wyatt is no exception.

Paige’s plan is simple, and it’s going to work. Go out with Esme, take her home, and then rub her victory in Wyatt’s face for the whole town of Castleton, Maine, to see. She does reconnaissance at the bar where Esme works, and soon, the game is on.

Is Paige just going to head right for the bedroom? No. She’s more subtle than that. Paige has never really seduced anyone like this, but how hard could it be? She’s not completely devoid of sexy skills.

What starts as a plot to get back at her ex turns into something a whole lot more complicated when Paige catches major feelings. Is she ready to give up her mission and put her heart on the line again? Or should she just cut her losses and call the whole thing off?

I enjoyed this story. I was a little skeptical because of the synopsis - revenge sex with your ex's crush just to get back at him. It was a little petty, but then again - the ex is an a$$#le, so I get it.

Paige and Esme ... from their first interaction, you can tell that this was going to be sizzling! Their chemistry and the way they connected was cute and full of sexual tension. Adorable couple until the truth is spilled.

A good story....definitely recommend the read!

The author loves to describe everything almost to death. The storyline wasn’t very strong and I felt like I was listening to a story about a straight girl who’s trying to bed another straight girl that her ex BF had a crush on. Very high school. It overall was cute but it’s not for me.

Overly descriptive

I keep trying Chelsea Cameron’s books even though they never quite work for me, so that’s on me. There’s lots of description of every last detail and every trivial conversation with seemingly every minor resident in this quaint town. That probably appeals to some readers, but I found it tedious. Additionally, the narration here was truly subpar. The narrator frequently mispronounced words and her emphasis choices were odd at best. Often she would stop like a sentence had ended, then add a phrase that was clearly supposed to part of the same thought as if it were a completely new sentence.

Poor narration, mediocre story

I couldn't get through even the first chapter.
I have no idea if the story was good. Please listen before buying, I failed to do that and regretted it.

listen to the sample first!!

As is so often the case with this writer there is a wide discrepancy in the ratings. I actually listened to the sample, and while I wasn't thrilled by the narrator I failed to realize how quickly the stilted high school girl reading out loud in English class reading would grate as badly as it did. Then there is the writing; I made it through the first three hours of endless, pointless conversation in this book before I gave up waiting for something, anything to happen. Save yourself the aggravation.

So Weak
