Another witness had come forward, saying they were sure they had seen someone of Tom’s description near one of the old mine pit lakes. It was going on two years now since his disappearance, but of course, anything was possible. After all, while the clues had gone cold and witness memories faded, there was one thing that doesn’t die away, the scent of death. And that is where the dogs come in. Lovely story. But it should have ended with Matt and Rebecca getting together before they found the son.

The scriptures. I wish you had included the chapter and verse numbers.

the story is very touching but without voice actors I feel the highs and lows of human emotion goes missing.

a good story

I really got into the story. I felt indignant when others were making trouble for ER-SAR as a group by complaining about its members not being well enough trained. I was so sad when the dogs were hurt or sick. I enjoyed the descriptions of nature during the walks. I was happy that there seemed to be a succession of happy guests.

It was easy to feel a part of this world while listening to the book. If you don't read the first book and this one, you will be missing out on some educational search and rescue (SAR) information and some wonderful virtual vacation time (no TV or video required).

Rebekkah's perseverance through pain, quiet joy in nature

I enjoyed the story, character development, and the relationship between the dog handler and her dogs. It was a good listen.
