Bring Andrea back!

Over two hundred hours of Andrea narrative voice and then you give me this? I am disappointed.

A great story continued.

I love the wandering inn and the characters are what keep me coming. Erin does a good job of taking over, I applaud her courage for taking on the project.

Unlistenable Unless At 1.2x Speed

Wow it’s crazy that for the first time I cannot give Pirate Aba a 5⭐️ review! This book was just really not great. A Wandering Inn book where my mind was wandering away from the book because I would get bored and have to step away? It happened during the Goblin Wars but not at this level. The cozy parts of the book didn’t seem as heartfelt and the action wasn’t written as thrilling to me. The spicy chapter 4 was shocking and WAY too long for me. And usually I love spicy books but it was so jarring in this series, and it was like one scene right after another unendingly.

I was ready to give the new narrator a chance. I really was! It makes sense that we switch narrators when it’s such a long series.

I truly did like some of Erin’s voices for the characters, especially Lionette but often I would get lost in who was taking because so many of her character’s voices sound so similar.

But ugh the pauses…. The pauses are…. So…. Annoying…. This isn’t…. Slam poetry…. it’s a book narration. Usually, the first time I listen to a Wandering Inn Book I listen at normal speed but the long breathy pauses make it so you have to listen at 1.2x speed to not lose your mind. We all knew that Andrea left some huge shoes to fill. And sorry Erin but I hope they either go back to the drawing board or hire more than one narrator. Instead of relying on all of us speeding up her William Shatner like cadence to be able to stand it.

New narrator but she is doing a fantastic job

Its a bit jarring to have a new voice doing the story but im coming around to it. Hope we get to keep frequent releases going forward!

Kinda miss the old narration

Its not bad, but the dynamic range of the new narrator is a bit less. Less high pitch, but I don’t think its an overall improvement
