Interceptor must snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

While the Alliance and their ally reinforce the wormhole, the Caliphate devastates the rest of the Consortium with perfectly timed attacks that are crippling their ship production. No matter where the Consortium defends, the Caliphate is one step ahead.

Secretary of the Navy Wit DeBeck knows the how, secret faster-than-light communications, but he can't stop them, not without the president's approval.

For the same reason the Consortium can't pull ships from the wormhole, neither can the Alliance. Wit doesn't need a task force, though, just a light, fast ship to steal the most valuable technology in the entire galaxy.

He even has the location....

A secret base orbiting a black hole that creates a natural barrier to starlane travel. Whatever ship they send better be fast, because if it isn't, the gravitational forces of the black hole will rip it to shreds.

Good thing the Navy has just such a ship...and a commander crazy enough to pull off the impossible.

From USA Today best-selling author Jeffery H. Haskell comes book five in the military science-fiction epic in the tradition of Honor Harrington and Star Trek.

I know the ranks and other details don’t align precisely to the current US military. But NO ONE would EVER tell some to call a Master Sergeant sergeant. That is an absolute insult.

Also not a fan of “don’t call me sir I work for a living”. I know a lot of people believe that. But there also people who refer to anyone in authority sir or ma’am. That’s just a a personal pet peeve.

Gotta say I absolutely love this series, and the authors ability to pick up the story with minimal recap is something I very much appreciate! Seriously, if you're starting a series at book 5, you have issues....

If you're a fan, then you will love how this one jumps right into the action, bringing new plot twists with your favorite characters, and as always, the performance by Peter Berkrot is spot on!

Another EPIC addition!

This is another great book in the series
Of jacob grimm's adventures. what's a great mix of action all throughout the book along with excellent character development. I love how much the author put into the redemption arcs and even highlighted the concept of forgiveness when it would have been so much easier for the main character
to have just written people off, or even executed several people who deserved it. I also loved the further development of jennings, she's an awesome counterpoint to jacob. overall, this is a fabulous book in the series and a must read.

Excellent space drama, 5 stars

This is another amazing installment in the series. They do a mission off ship and deal with Faster Than Light Communication.
