This one should have been book 2...

Book two in these shorts was kind of a buzz kill ... It almost made me not want to go on to this one. However, I got past that and listened to this one to complete the series. This one was much better than 2. I think this should have been book 2. However, regardless of all of that, I still really enjoyed the series.
