When amateur sleuth Sabrina Daley discovers that a local hypnotherapist is giving illegal mind-altering pills to his patients, she becomes desperate to uncover his true intentions. Unfortunately, before she has the chance to confront him, the hypnotherapist is found dead.

But who murdered him? Was it one of his patients? His bitter spouse? His assistant? Or is something more nefarious going on in Sabrina's once-idyllic small town of Treasure Cove?

Great 4th book in the series. Love the storyline and the characters. Can’t wait to see where the series goes next! I really appreciate that the narrator is well spoken and pleasant to listen to.

I received a free copy and left my honest review

Great mystery

This series is just a lot of fun, and as I continue to listen, I get caught further in the clutches of Sabrina and David's cases. This one features the murder of the town hypnotherapist, Gregory Morton. For me, this character holds some interest, only treating men and we don't know why. His murder is unexpected and these two will not let the case go cold. Through interrogations of friends we have met and new characters, there is much information to gather. But is it enough to find the killer? Add in the secret meetings that have been taking place, Betsy and Elizabeth in the coffee shop and a side of the delicious lemon bars Sabrina is eating and you have several hours of entertainment. I am still waiting to see if we find out about Jessica, Sabrina's missing sister, so am going to dive into book 5! Lisa Beacom is the voice of this series for me, and I am enjoying her narration. With lots spunk, she keeps the level of fun high with her performance!

Continued enjoyment

Another Sabrina mystery. Suspects abound as a very disliked gentleman is found dead. We met past suspects to help narrow down the case. There were close acquaintances who became suspects. Sabrina and David worked together to investigate, and I enjoyed their journey.
The narration by Lisa Beacom was well done. Her distinct voices for all the characters kept them separated in my mind.

I received a copy of the audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.

Good story with good narration.

This series started off slow for me. In the first book Sabrina, the main character, struck me as quite unlikeable. Luckily,I continued to read the series and found each of the following books were better than the preceding book.

In this book, the mystery of the hypnotherapist is solved (multiple mysteries were introduced in book 1 and each book solves one of the mysteries introduced in the first book).

The main character is quite likeable in the fourth book. Although she is still as persistent as a dog after a bone, she is more connected to others feelings and does not come off as abrasive as in the early books. She assists her detective boyfriend (David) as an independent consultant to the police department. Speaking of David, his character has become more of a realistic detective as the series progresses.

I was quite surprised at the ending of the story. It was really a great twist on the story.

I enjoyed the performance of the narrator (Lisa Beacom) of books 2-5 over the performance of the narrator (Lainie Pahos) in book 1. Lisa's dramatic performance brought this story to life.

I highly recommend this enjoyable cozy mystery series. They are well written and Lisa Beacon is an excellent narrator. Especially getting this far into the series makes me just want more of them! They stand alone well but are also great as a series as they do build on each other. It feels like I'm really getting to know the characters. Don't you just love that when a book series does that for you?

Sabrina does it again!
