In this honest and welcoming book, diversity and inclusion expert, professor, and award-winning speaker Dr. Omekongo Dibinga argues that we must embark on a massive undertaking to re-educate ourselves on the stereotypes that have proven harmful, and too often deadly, to the black community.

For years I’ve wondered what I can do to fight racism in this country. If you care about this too then read this book. Be anti-racist. Be a partner not just an ally. Thank you for this book!

Besides the content being spot on, I thoroughly enjoyed that the writer Dr. Dibingo was also the narrator.

This is such a powerful book!! I have read several books like this, but this one, more than the others, made me realize how lucky I am to be white—which extremely sad and disheartening to say. How much are we all missing out on by continuing to marginalize people who don’t look like us? I wish everyone would read or listen to this book and stop the lies.

Grateful for books like this

As I listened, the journey of this author permeated my thoughts. What I thought on previously have been challenged by his words and experiences. Now, challenging me to think beyond the obvious. Life is given to all but living is given to those who pursue their dreams and share with others the power that propelled them to reach higher. Very thought provoking read.

Expanding the mind
