Talk about a SLOW BURN

I love a slow burn but this was like 6 hours of foreplay. I loved the characters, I loved the story line and I loved the flirting/burning the characters had for each other. I will say I do wish the story had been longer so it was 50/50 on the slow burn and actual fire.

As always, I love this author's writing. At first I didn't think I was going to like the narrator but in the end I really enjoyed her work.

What did you like best about this story?

OMG Love in Lingerie is a long, slow burn. This is an office romance turned friends to lovers read.

It is HOT AF!!! Trey & Kate start off as boss & employee. Trey has a strict no fraternization policy until Kate walks in. The woman who he hopes can help save his company: Marks Lingerie. Kate is nothing if not the utmost of professionalism but Trey Marks is utterly delectable and they end up being placed in many situations that could lead to some naughty office behavior. They both try their best to keep it business like & friendly. As the story develops they become best friends. They rely deeply on each other while both having very naughty and salacious thoughts about each other.

I actually listened to LIL on Audible and let me tell you Rose Dioro is a master narrator. Her voice actually drew me very deeply into the story. I loved how she could change her voice & timber to suit each character. Alessandra's book combined with Rose's voice was a match made in heaven.

The ending of this book got me right in the feels so much. It was just the sweetest ending.

Sexy, suspended lust!

This is the ultimate denial. Co-workers, boss-employee, friends to lovers, or really, friends to forever love.

Trey knows who he is at what he likes. He likes Kate but withholds who he really is from her because he knows that's not who she is. Kate is looking for safe and reliable, and that is the opposite of who Trey is.

Friendship and a strong working relationship builds as they stabilize and grow his company together. All the while the sparks fly and lines are crossed professionally. But denial has become an art for these two.

The chemistry and awareness is there, always. They try other relationships to meet their personal needs, settling for and into them. Each watching the other, knowing it's all wrong. Neither will act.

A future hangs on the balance and truths are told; painful and shocking truths. The future seems to be crumbling and hurts mount.

When it happens (and it does) it's the culmination of years of denial, years log lust, years of...love, and it's beautiful. Hot! 🔥🔥🔥 sexy as hell, but perfectly tender.

Get ready to ride the emotional rollercoaster of denial and sexual frustration! It's worth it for the fireworks at the end.

Slow burn to epic explosion

Oh what a spark had ignited between Kate and Trey the day she began working for the Lingerie mogul. It started small and throughout the trials and tribulations of bringing the failing company back to life, that spark started burning hotter and hotter until it fully ignited into an all out 5 alarm fire.

This was probably the slowest burn in a book I have read or listened to. Although at one point I was like... come on! Just happen!! The waiting ended up being worth it and I just loved the story.

Rose Dioro is an awesome narrator and was perfect for Kate. I really wish it would have been dual narration since Trey did have his own chapters, but Rose handled it with ease.

Fun, flirty and sexy!

Love in Lingerie was fun, flirty, and sexy as all get out. The narrator did an amazing job. It was so not what I expected but it was exactly what it should be, which is why I loved it so much. This story reminds me of a forbidden dance that builds and builds or a volcano as it's about to erupt. You can anticipate the heat but it's the hottest just before it blows! 5 sexy stars!
