Somebody pushed Shelby Poinsett out her second-floor library window, and it wasn't her husband. At least that's what Charleston's most prestigious law firm wants Liz Talbot to prove. Liz must run the spectrum of Southern society, from the local homeless shelter where Shelby volunteered to the 100-year-old book club where Charleston's genteel ladies are dying to join, to bring a killer to justice.

If you could sum up Lowcountry Book Club in three words, what would they be?

Real Southern Charm

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lowcountry Book Club?

The main character having drinks with the murdered womans neighbours. Any more would give it away.

Which character – as performed by Loretta Rawlins – was your favorite?

The main character was the best.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were a couple of moments that made me laugh very hard.

Any additional comments?

I have read a couple of the Low Country books and they seem to start out slow. The magic is that this seems to be intentional to give the feeling of living in "southern" time. The books draw you in like a glass of sweet tea. Once you've read one you have to read more.

I love that I get to know the characters as I listen to the books but she weaves in new characters so you feel like you already know them .

This is my fifth book of the series and I have to say I have enjoyed each and every one of these books as much as I did the first one. Ms. Boyer definitely knows how to tell a good mystery. They are interesting, parts are intriguing and always have funny parts that will make you laugh out loud. On to my sixth book since I still need to be entertained.

Thoroughly delightful, fun read

I've truly enjoyed this easy listening series - the southern charm and some of the quick wit bring back beautiful memories of my mother and her sisters. Looking forward to seeing what else this author has created.

I'm hooked

I've enjoyed every book in this series and look forward to many more! In this installment, investigators Liz and Nate, on the cusp of their wedding, find themselves solving a mysterious death in an old house that definitely is not what it seems on the surface. An old southern mansion in Charleston, a variety of unique characters of all ages, a dash of humor, a little romance and an intriguing mystery with fingers in the past that kept me guessing to the end... it rarely gets better than this!
