Sentinel Dawn has returned.

The bigger question looms, her sacred [Oath] demanding a response—When does she heal her enemies?

Ethics rehashing and missed opportunities

As others note in their reviews, the rehashing about the oath is really annoying, over the top, and doesn't really advance anything. Should have avoided several chapters worth of annoyance by just laying out the difference between her ranger duties and soldier duties. 2-3 paragraphs, done.

There are also a number of issues that Elaine just keeps suffering under so the plot can stay as is. This doesn't make sense. Why would Elaine spend literally years with out taking a few steps:

1) Give Iona & Nina healing gems & arcanite.
2) Giver herself some healing gems to deal with apples, or some potions?

Great Series!

I'm always left wanting more, but the ending was less than satisfying this time around. A few small details Really didn't have to be left for the next book. Wrong kind of cliff hanger imo. But overall, love the book!

this books delves more into the perspective of a soldier and does a good job of conveying how hellish a war can truly be against other people.
