In the harsh, unforgiving American frontier, in the vast wilderness that is Wyoming, a ruthless gang of cutthroats is ripping a bloody swath of death and destruction through the territory. No one can stop them…no one, that is, except for a legendary mountain man named Matt Jensen.

The year is 1884. A 10-year-old British boy has come to visit his uncle’s Wyoming spread, just as the vicious Yellow Kerchief Gang has the ranch under siege. Outgunned and outmatched, a British rancher is willing to pay $5000 for help. That is more than enough money to bring Matt Jenson into the fray.

A huge, bloody gunfight, fueled by betrayal, erupts at the Powder River. But Matt has to shoot carefully. The Yellow Kerchief Gang has a hostage — the British lad named Winnie. And Matt has history on his hands, because Winnie Churchill must survive.... Fifty years later, Winston Churchill will fight a war of his own — carrying a Matt Jenson .44 shell in his pocket and a gunfighter’s spirit in his soul.

Performed by Dylan Lynch, Thomas Penny, Steven Carpenter, Gary Telles, David Coyne, Johann Dettweiler, Michael Glenn, Christopher Graybill, Nanette Savard, Terence Aselford, Patrick Bussink, Thomas Keegan, Lily David, Michael John Casey, Joel David Santner, Nick DePinto, David Harris, Tracy Olivera, Elizabeth Jernigan, Eric Messner, Alyssa Wilmoth.

This is one of the best books I've listened to. But I have said the same thing about several of Matt Jensen books. Matt is helping a rancher with a rustling problem. The storyline keeps you interested. Matt is like a one man army. I like the books with one narrator better but these books like this are growing on me. I'm starting to like them better. They do a good job in this . There are a lot of different narrators. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

Historic references made it really believable, especially if you like Churchill.

Fact: Churchill visited the USA as a personal guest of Eisenhower at the age of eighty-four and was entertained at the White House. Not in in his childhood, nor was especially close to his mother. His fondness was for his nanny.

It was a nice spin on a factual event.

Overall good and engaging

I enjoyed this book and was pleased with the combination of old and new era. It was good to hear the story being told by Winston Churchill to Dwight Eisenhower.

Jolly Good Book!!!
