Exceeded expectations

I binge read holiday romances in December and it’s pretty hard to find one that’s light/swoon worthy while still having depth. I really thought this would be a cheesy holiday romance that I would forget as soon as I read it, but I was pleasantly surprised. These characters and their interactions had real dimensions and authenticity. I didn’t roll my eyes even once, and usually that just goes with the romcom territory. This is easily one of my favorite holiday romances and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy holiday rom com without a lot of cheesiness.

Agree with the „buy the book, don’t listen“ sentiment

Cute story, but very predictable arc. The medical condition and treatment of the Father were so far off base, a chat with a medical advisor could have prevented that flub. At times, characters repeat themselves to the point that it’s off-putting. The narration was awful. It sounded like she was whining and nasally at the same time!?

Fun read- loved the readers voice!

Read it, Don't listen.

I was so excited for this story. It sounded so good. But oh my goodness! The performance made me return the book, and buy the physical copy. So glad I did because the story is actually really sweet, even if predictable. A really sweet Christmas read.

The performer should not have been the author. She should have hired someone who is used to performing a book. The Author sounded whiney at the end of every single sentence. Her pacing was also too fast. She didn't let sentences breathe. Her voices weren't different enough.
