Psychological thriller stalker obsession small-town secrets—a woman returns to her hometown for her twenty-year high school reunion and begins receiving anonymous photographs of private moments from her past, forcing her to realize someone has been watching her for decades and the people closest to her are not who they claim to be. Blending long-buried secrets, unreliable memories, intimate betrayal, twist-driven mystery, slow-burn dread, and a shocking final reveal that redefines everything she thought she knew.

One reunion. One stalker. One trap twenty years in the making.

I'M GOING HOME.

Twenty years after graduation, I returned to my hometown for my high school reunion, hoping to confront the past and finally move on. I told myself it would be closure. A weekend. A chance to face the people and places I'd spent two decades trying to outrun.

Careful. Controlled. In charge of my own story.

Until someone else decided to tell it for me.

SOMEONE HAS BEEN WATCHING.

The photographs started almost the moment I arrived. Pictures of my teenage bedroom. Images of me crying after prom. Moments I was certain no one else ever witnessed.

Private. Intimate. Impossible.

Someone has been documenting my life for decades—and I never knew their face was in the crowd.

IN THIS TOWN, EVERYTHING CHANGES.

My best friend, Tori, insists we can figure out who's behind the messages. My boyfriend, Enzo, flies in from Chicago, terrified for my safety. Everyone wants to protect me from whoever has been quietly watching me for twenty years.

But the deeper we dig, the clearer it becomes that this isn't just about the photos.

The people closest to me are hiding things. Old friendships don't line up the way I remember. And the messages aren't pulling me backward—

They're pushing me toward a truth no one wants uncovered.

I watch the way they watch me. Careful. Rehearsed. Too kind.

Like they've had twenty years to practice.

I don't ask the questions they want me to ask.

But I don't leave either.

Because the way this town closes around me—like it already knows how this ends—

That's not something I walk away from.

I tell myself it's paranoia. Too coincidental. Too cruel. Too impossible to believe.

I'm right.

Because some people never forgot me after high school.

Some people never stopped watching.

And some people have been planning this reunion for twenty years.

I came home looking for closure.

Instead, I've stepped straight into a trap decades in the making.

And whoever has been watching me all this time—

They're not finished yet.

This one is certainly not a gripping psychological thriller and had no twist that was shocking or otherwise. Predictable, boring and totally unbelievable. At least it was short.

Nothing thrilling about it

story was too predictable, I could tell from the beginning something was off with every relationship she had. I also disliked the Ai voice as you couldn't distinguish between speakers and spacing in words and paragraphs was off

story was predictable

I’ve tried listening to virtual voice and it’s just so bad that it draws away from the storyline, which wasn’t very good either. I may have liked it better with correct inflections and distinction between characters.

Narrator horrible

Hate virtual voices I hate virtual voices. There are no feelings when the book is read. Hate virtual voices

Bad enough that I suffered through ai narration, but the storyline had so many holes! I listened to the whole thing but wish I had quit after the first 2 chapters.

Storyline doesn’t make sense
