Mr Darcy's Second Chance is a compilation of three previously published Pride and Prejudice Variations.

A More Agreeable Man by Jan Ashton
When Jane Bennet returns from a holiday at Ramsgate engaged to a handsome young man, Elizabeth is astonished to find herself the only person at Longbourn questioning their attachment. Darcy arrives in Hertfordshire he discovers that George Wickham has impugned his character and is now betrothed to a lady whose enchanting younger sister has both decided opinions and strikingly beautiful eyes. Elizabeth and Darcy's doubts over the misalliance lead them to set aside their mutual distrust and determine the truth about Wickham’s true intentions, but the more they discover, the deeper they find their own hearts entangled.

A Golden Opportunity by J Marie Croft
Darcy longs to escape Rosings Park following his failed proposal of marriage to Elizabeth Bennet. Alas both must remain for an additional ten days for a private ball in celebration of the birthday of Anne de Bourgh.

As the days progress, Darcy finds himself increasingly alarmed by the strange happenings in Kent. Anne has thrown off the meekness of her earlier years and has been visiting the master gardener’s cottage, claiming she merely seeks his advice about her herbarium. Darcy’s days are further complicated when he realizes that he may have a rival for Elizabeth’s affection

There seems to be a potential scandal or heartache everywhere Darcy turns, but somewhere in midst of it all springs some hope.

Mrs Bennet Makes a Match by Lucy Marin
When Darcy returns to Hertfordshire he is disappointed to be greeted by coolness, but he believes he understands her prejudice.

Elizabeth Bennet knows that any chance she had of finding happiness in marriage with Mr Darcy has been destroyed by Lydia's elopement. Nothing suggests that he has any desire to rekindle the warmth between them that she felt at Pemberley.

A Golden Opportunity:
I thought this story was pretty fun. Anne de bourgh was strong willed, sneaky and making big plans behind her mother's back.
Darcy got over himself after his anger at being rejected by Elizabeth, and after reading his explanation about Wickham, Elizabeth got over her anger as well. The transformation was quick but since this is novella length there wasn't much more time for such things to transform slowly.
Really I found this all enjoyable overall, but I was disappointed to not get Anne's big announcement in the moment but just a review of it in the epilogue. It had been building up for the whole story and then we are suddenly 4 children later for the Darcy's and only get the review of what had happened years earlier. It felt disappointing. But I guess maybe it was better than having to listen to all of Lady C's ranting.
The narration was pretty well done but had a lot of dramatic emphasis that might have been a bit much.

I don't like when they put multiple books into.o e recording because it is impossible to properly rate and review them as one.

I liked the second two stories better than the first story but they were all really good. The third story was really good because I liked the 3 ladies trying to get ODC together.

entertaining

The two first stories were lovely and imaginative, the third was just tedious as it shows Elisabeth as narrow-minded and cowardly, practically cutting Darcy several times, though their acquaintance alone should have entitled him a minimum of civility and hospitable welcome, as HE is visiting HER home. it just made not like her at all and disengaged me from wanting a HEA for her.

The third one became tedious

I enjoyed all three stories but I liked the 2nd best. The narrator was good too.

3 very enjoyable short stories
