Taking on the responsibilities that come with being Lady Lyndhurst, Stella is eager to embrace yuletide traditions in the Edwardian English countryside and use her strong social influence for good. Then there's the case of Morrington Hall becoming plagued by false identities, secret affairs, and disgruntled employees...

Now, with two murders unfolding before their eyes in late December, Stella and Lyndy realize they can't fully trust anyone except for themselves while investigating. Because as disturbing answers come into focus, identifying the criminal responsible and surviving into the new year would be the greatest gift of the season...

A superbly heartwarming cozy Christmas mystery.

All in all a thoroughly Christmas read that deftly incorporated historical holiday traditions with some slight sleuthing. It manages to maintain all the warmth of the season while still having enough questions to propel that aspect of the narrative forward.
In fact in the end I would characterize this more as a Christmas tale than strictly a murder mystery.

I loved the turns this story took! I enjoyed the character development and storytelling. I am so fond of these characters, so I hope more installments are to come.

Thoroughly enjoyed this last installment in the Stella & Lindy series. A clean, engaging story with characters you actually come to care about.

This was everything I was waiting for!! I love these books and the characters in them. Definitely worth it if you like a cozy mystery!
