After careful and extensive planning, Slash and I are finally headed far away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi and toward the honeymoon of our dreams—and by “dreams,” I mean uninterrupted napping, adult beverages, zero rabid animals, and no weapons pointed in our direction.

After a wedding that involved way too many guns, dangerous drones, and more drama than a reality show reunion, we needed some serious R&R. So, like the super geeks we are, we plotted our honeymoon options in an elaborate spreadsheet to produce an optimum, trouble-free, and relaxing itinerary, as far from turmoil as possible.

But trouble sticks to us like cookie crumbs on a keyboard. What was supposed to be a tranquil escape quickly escalates into a series of events beyond our control, dragging us into danger once again. Then, as if marriage wasn’t complicated enough, the bad guys have us on the run for our lives, and Slash disappears, while we’re just trying to figure out what it really means to be husband and wife.

All we wanted was a little peace and quiet for our honeymoon, and yet the universe keeps sending us trouble. Will we ever get time off from cloak-and-dagger escapades? Or will our dream honeymoon end with us once again saving the world, but this time in matching “Just Married!” T-shirts?

Peaceful honeymoon?

Will Lexi and Slash have the peaceful and relaxing honeymoon that they dreamed and planned for? Or will the little black cloud find them on a remote island where nothing exciting ever happens? I really liked this book and the situations that Lexi and Slash find themselves in. No matter what happens their love keeps them together. I hope there will be more books to come. The narration was perfect, too.

Worth the wait for the audio

Lexi and Slash can’t seem to avoid the little black cloud that is now theirs. I appreciate all of the secondary characters that make up the texture of the story as well as the details like the banana wine. All add color and realism to the story. I love that Lexi whines about the hike and the climb, much more of a heroine I can relate to.

Edited Poorly

Chapter 24 is completely missing, it’s a duplicate of a later chapter. The narrator does a lot of accents but her Lexi voice and cadence just sound way too anxious for book 15 Lexi
