Lynx knew it when he sat at the head of the table, and he knew that passing the reigns of the business down to Nori and Malik wouldn't change anything. There would always be something, or someone, to watch out for. The Carter men had eyes and ears everywhere, so fear never moved through them. They were the ones to incite fear, and that wouldn't change no matter who was in charge.

Nori was ready to step up, even if that meant burying every emotion he had deep down. Making sure the family business ran smoothly and keeping fear running through the hearts of anyone who thought of testing him was Nori's top priority. He didn't have time to focus on the hard, emotional decisions that had to be made before he became the man in charge. He couldn't risk showing he had feelings. His enemies would target anything Nori showed emotion towards, so he reigned everything in, keeping tight control of everything in his life. He would never give anyone the satisfaction of besting him. That wasn't possible because he was the best. And he would have it all… at all costs.

I love this family. Nori is definitely the man and knows how to handle his business. The writing was great and I love the narrating.

Dumb Girl

Zayah is that chic that has been hearing, "How can you be so smart and so dumb," her whole life. Every scene she just sounded stupid. Overall, the story was good and well written but that lady was dingy.

Nori Carter

Nori is the man. I love his get straight to it energy and I absolutely love Shiloh. He is hilarious.

First I have to say the narrators were amazing!!! Nicole Small…absolutely love her narration!!! Any books she reads I am instantly drawn into the story! Midnite Michael did his thing as usual. The story was funny but had plenty of drama!!! Excellent writing! I would highly recommend.

First of all , that SHI is FUNNY AS HELL!😂😂😂😂 and Midnight Michael was the PERFECT person to narrate it!!!!! I want to be in this family sooooo bad. OMG! Savages but so very loveable. I love how the author makes the male characters fall in love with the female’s character and not a specific body type. No matter what she looks like she is beautiful to them. I cannot wait for the third book.
