Since I was a little girl, I've known the fairy tale I've wanted to live.

Grow up. Fall in love. Get married to a man who will dance with me in the kitchen and kiss me for no reason. Have a big family and live happily ever after.

There's just one problem—men suck.

What's a southern girl have to do to find her future husband? It's certainly not on the dating apps, so I do something out of my comfort zone—I ask my step sister to set me up.

And what does she deliver? A six-foot-two, sexy as sin football coach who has a fear of commitment.

Great. The definition of my Prince Charming.

Only this man is no prince. He's a tall, dark, and handsome playboy who is impossible to resist.

I've never been a fling kind of girl, but with Davis, something so wrong feels so right. Maybe it's that we're doing it in secret? Or that I can somehow always feel his lips on me?

We both know we need to stop. Get out before anyone gets hurt.

There's just one problem. Well, two.

Two pink lines specifically.

Yup, this is definitely not how the fairy tale is supposed to go…

Bethany and Davis start off as a blind date between a woman longing to fall in love & a man who vows that love & relationships aren’t for him. Seems doomed from the start right? But when the connection & chemistry is so good, these two find themselves in a friends with benefits situation…9’e they both know can’t continue. But when the most unexpected happens these two find a way to give it a go for their unexpected pregnancy. Davis is everything Bethany needs & finds a way to put aside his reservations to make her (and me) swoon. But when it comes to his lifelong vow to provide for his family…his mom & sisters…how will he handle having Bethany & a baby to add to that list?
I loved the banter, flirtiness, & sizzling chemistry between these two. I loved their friendships with Hunter & Sadie, & I can’t wait for more to come in this series.

Audiobook Review:
This audiobook was produced by Pink Flamingo Productions & narrated by Duncan Prescott & Shane Martinez. These two delivered an excellent narration that depicted these characters perfectly. They drew me in & completely consumed me in the story line.

Davis and Bethany

I listened and loved the audio of this book. This is a sweet, fun, cute story. I liked the references from one of my favorite movies Steel Magnolia and one of my favorite shows Hart of Dixie. The narrators did a really good job I especially loved Bethany's accent and some of the stuff that came out of her mouth. Even though it says it's a standalone there were some references about when they first met which I think is in the first book which is Bethany's stepsister's story. Besides the two many characters the other characters in the story were great.

Loved it

3.5 I love reading surprise baby romance so decided to give this a try, overall it's a good book. I did feel like Bethany was a bit over how fast she would start envisioning her life with whoever she was on a date with. Also think she needed to make Davis work a bit harder after the way he acted. Aside from that it was definitely worth reading.

I got the audiobook which was really well done. The narrators did great bringing the characters to life.

To the sports world, he's Davis, R Davis if you're being formal, but to his family, he's Richard Davis (Seamen). He may like to keep his name a mystery (even though it was my first guess), but the rest of him isn't much of one. The bet he makes with Sadie, Bethany's best friend, regarding his name brings some interesting responses and is funny. 😄

He has a naughty streak that I love witnessing, and Bethany loves reaping the rewards. Davis is also a stand-up guy, as is displayed by his reaction to her news. He internalizes a bit too much, which has an impact on himself and his relationships. I could do without the freaking out, but I like the results.

I love Bethany (princess) Hall's outlook on esthetics and what a trip to the salon does for a woman's confidence. I never really thought about it before, but now that I have, I agree.

I love the balance and how their relationship morphs. I also love how this tackles some devastating life realities, like Alzheimers and parental abandonment, without downplaying the downstream impacts that can happen.

I listened to the audio book. The narrators, Shane Martinez and Duncan Prescott, are great. I love that Shane has a southern accent, lending more credibility to the narration. 🎧💙🎧
