What happens when a prickly travel journalist falls for his fake boyfriend?

Oscar Moore has two problems. One, he’s accidentally managed to convince his boss, the legendary editor of The Traveller, that he has a boyfriend. And two, he now has to persuade photographer and casual acquaintance, Ilias Verrati, to play along for a weeklong couples retreat in Hawaii.

Ilias is full of sass and sunshine, but his constant flirting grates on Oscar. Unfortunately, unless Oscar wants to confess and risk his job, he has to keep up the ruse. He can manage a week, and if he can pull this off, then editorial glory awaits.

Oscar and Ilias both have their own reasons for avoiding relationships—even if they desperately want one—and their work makes finding love even more difficult, but maybe a fake relationship is just what they need to give them a nudge in the right direction.

Under the Hawaiian sun, Oscar discovers there’s more to Ilias than meets the eye. But before Ilias will risk his heart, Oscar will have to find a way to open it.

Oh So Oscar is a 78,000-word, contemporary MM romance featuring fake dating, luxurious hotel rooms, stargazing, and delicious food. It also contains discussions of grief including the past loss of a parent and the past loss of a partner.

I loved this book so much! This entire series has been so wonderful and I am really sorry to say goodbye to this big, crazy, loving family!!! While we have learned a lot about the all the siblings, Oscar has always been a little standoff-ish in the other books in this series but I loved getting to know more about him. I hated that Oscar had been hurt in previous relationships because of his demisexuality but was so happy when he finally found his person in Ilias. The two of them together were absolute magic! Ilias was such a bright character, bringing so much light and happiness to Oscar and his occasional grumpiness. There were several deep emotional issues that Ilias and Oscar both brought to the relationship including family issues, past relationships, and personal issues but they both were able to find a way to be truthful to the other, even when they hadn't been truthful with anyone else. This was a truly wonderful end to such a beautiful series about the most amazing family and their partners. I can't wait to see what is happening in Heather Bay after getting introduced to the sweet seaside town by Oscar and Ilias!

Dan Calley is a new favorite narrator for me after listening to several of his recent narrations of Charlie Novak's books. I love his voice and the way he brings the characters to life. Dan's narration becomes part of the story so that it just seems like the characters are actually speaking and I am not distracted from the story by his voice or inflection. I hope Dan will be narrating more works by my favorite authors!

Ah, I love this premise. It’s fake dating sure with travel and some fun tension. Two guys who annoy each other end up dating for a job. In Hawaii. Yes, please.

Who can resist forced proximity, a fancy hotel, and Hawaii. I’m half in love and I wasn’t even there. But I especially love it when two men who have their guards up find a truly beautiful and healing love.

Ilias and his 19-year-old self being unable to share his pain and the lingering fear that has left all these years later (heartbreaking). And Oscar, struggling with finding someone to love his demisexual self, cause people can be truly awful.

I’ll be dreaming of them travelling the world together, hand in hand, for a long time to come.

Good Slow Burn!!

I loved Oscar and Ilias. They're both mature and handled the issues that came up well. A lovely narration though I'd prefer a little more distinction between characters.

lovely couple
