If someone observed us from afar, they could claim that our civilization was a civilization of walls. That was its main purpose. Such observers would likely not be able to explain why. I cannot either. Walls do not protect. They just trap and kill.

Three short stories about a dystopic future, about people turning into machines, about walls and fences, about the way history works. Three short stories about now.

This was flat and boring! The narrator was great though. Totally not interesting. I couldn't finish, and it isn't even an hour.

A very strange collection of tales. I am not sure what the author was trying to relay and I am not sure that I understood any of it!

The narrator spoke much too slowly for me and I had to speed up my device to 1.25x in order to listen.

If you could sum up Once upon a Dystopia in three words, what would they be?

Great discussion stories.

Which character – as performed by Scott ODell – was your favorite?

The woman ghost. He did it with such feeling.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the Doctor is speaking to the ghost.

Any additional comments?
