Thankfully, the villagers can count on Ferren and the group of Powered accompanying him to protect them. And with any luck, the young farmer might even gain a new power or two to add to his arm arsenal.

If they make it through, a new chapter in Fer's life may begin back in Dunwatch Keep, this time as one of the elite force and not just some random pawn in the king's army.

But with each mission it becomes increasingly clear that they might not be safe anywhere, not even at the heart of the kingdom. Something is drawing the Beasts out of the Wastes, something terrible, something hungry. And it's up to them to stop it before the entire realm is overrun.

Surprised how well it moved

when I first started the series I wasn't sure if I could get passed the narrators voice and style but it ended up fitting just right. I'm looking forward to where the story goes

middle of the story and it has everything

This is the middle of the story and it has everything you would expect Glorious pushed forward we learned more about the characters around him and enemies and friends As they get ready for the fight to retake the land that they lost he has to also learn about his new a bandage And in being betrayed sees what could be his future he is not careful

Amazing just Amazing!

This second book was way better than the first one just like I hope it would be! It makes my purchase well worth it and will be worth it for you too

High pitch sounds.

My only problem was with the actual recording. There's a high pitch ringing in the background any time the narrator stops talking. Over all great book like the first. Hoping for a third!

Disappointing

Transparent plot. Stupid, illogical choices throughout. Stupid ending with too many loose threads. It's a real bummer. The author does a great job with the scenes. The characters are also fully fleshed out. It's the big picture stuff, the story-wide, skeleton defining, plot blueprint sized structure that lacks finess. It feels like the author wrote this book one chapter at a time without forethought, making it up as he went with little to no inspiration. The author has so much potential, but it wasn't fully realized in this book. I'll definitely read more of his stuff, but I'll wait a while for his writing to fully mature.
