Ehhh

I felt like I needed to finish because I used a credit and didn’t want to waste it..
I don’t typically like the kind of story but was intrigued so I thought I’d go for it. I love the female narrator and even her voice when she’s speaking as the man. Alexei didn’t have any real redeemable qualities for me. Their relationship was blah and mostly as I kept going I just wanted to know who was responsible for all the craziness. I didn’t like how Alexei lied and said that’s all she’d get and that was it and then she always just forgives him and screws him. It’s not cute and made me cringe.
Honestly, I stopped at an hour left and don’t really care to find out the rest anymore.

Even though a lot of the subject matter is of a serious nature, this series isn’t overly serious. There isn’t a lot of angst, in RZ’s books; and I appreciate this. A book is supposed to be an escape from a reader/listener’s daily life. If life is rough, the last thing a reader wants is to be under more turmoil during their recreational time. RZ is a master of being serious, not serious, in her books.

The premise of this series is really out there but, it’s still a nice escape from the daily grind of life.

I enjoyed this book much more than book one. There is insta-love and a lot of raunchy sex scenes but there is a lot of action , intrigue and romance, also.

If times are rough, in your life, pick a series written by this author. It will keep you going instead of dragging you down.

Thank you, RZ, for always writing your stories without all of the negative, soul wrenching content.

Giggles and suspense!

Great addition to the series. can't wait to see what happens in the third. The narration is great, bit the recording seems a bit cut off at times. There were several times words got cut off at the end and a few words seemed to be missing altogether. Still totally worth listening though!

One Dark Kiss

I love this series! Alexei and Rosalie. Alexei of the Russian Bratva, aquamarine charger and inmate extraordinaire. Rosalie, a lawyer and best friend of Alanna (aka Thorn’s woman, both Thorn and Alanna are the chargers for their family stones and he’s of the Irish mob).

You can almost taste the chemistry between Alexei and Rosalie but He is so high handed, which of course a mafia boss would be. But he’s about to transition from inmate to accused and attempt to take over his business and the bratva. Someone has it out for him and Rosalie. It’s coming from every angle and no one can be trusted.

But breaking the code of conduct for a lawyer with her client? She fought back but it was inevitable. He took care of everything and the problems just keep rolling in. But the degree of crazy and manipulation at the end is wild!

I’m looking forward to Ella’s story! 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
