I love this guy’s books and was all-in on this without even reading the blurb. And was pleasantly surprised to find I was listening to such a smartly and richly written adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic. Which, let’s be honest, is kind a of a screwed-up cautionary tale about odious people. This author has a bit more humanity and romance that Mr. Dahl. And gives us a rich romp into a fantasy world that I for one did not want to leave when the book ended.
