The best-selling author of Alice’s Tulips and other popular novels, Sandra Dallas exhibits a well-honed talent for evoking the past. In The Persian Pickle Club, Dallas transports listeners to 1930s Kansas, where a club of quilters welcomes a new member—and then must turn to each other for support when a startling secret comes to light.

Very good. I'm not a quilter at all either, but I could relate. Not meant to be a spoiler, but you never really know if the man to confronts Queenie's car is random or is after her and Rita. Maybe that's the point.

I wish could the story would continue on more but alas, that was all there was. 😊

I’m a sewist, not a quilter but have always loved the history behind quilters groups. The friendships, the teaching, the finished product created by skilled hands, laughter and patience. This story gives a peak into the history of these groups and those friendships we all crave.

Sweet story of friendship

And the power of women who learn to take care of their own when the community around them turns a blind eye.
