There is a reason guided meditations are so popular in audio - it’s because they really work. Press Pause, brings the guided mindfulness meditation experience in audio to young people.

Guided meditations offer many benefits, including the ability to create peace of mind, reduce stress and anxiety, enhance self-awareness, and promote emotional health. In Press Pause, wellness expert Catherine Siphron offers six meditations that address the realities of being a young person in today’s world, giving special attention to topics such as academic pressures, bullies and toxic friendships, sleep, spiraling out, and tech addictions. Catherine teaches techniques to kids for handling the stress and pressure of adolescence, using easy-to-remember steps and acronyms. All the tools in Press Pause will help listeners to create a lifelong wellness practice rooted in mindfulness. Great for adults, too!

I’m an off-and-on meditator who has struggled to get my tween and teen kids interested in mindfulness despite the clear and present need for these tools in their daily lives.

What parent doesn’t wish their teenager could pull up a level, recognize their emotional swings, and learn some self-regulation?

While there is no panacea for teenage mood swings, Catherine Singer’s lovingly written and beautifully performed work is a step in the right direction that was tolerated (perhaps even truly appreciated!) by my son and daughter.

There are few resources for teenagers in this genre, and I say bravo to Ms. Singer for this thoughtful and enjoyable contribution!

...and did I mention that I’ve listened to a number of the chapters more than once myself!

I wish I would have known about mindfulness and these tricks when I was very young and going through high school and college. This is something that everyone can use not just then, but for the rest of their lives.

For kids. Basic info on mindfulness. Short, & to the point. Somewhat dry delivery.
