I was mated and marked by the Lycan King-
t
hen he rejected me. Cast me out like trash, while I carried his secret baby.

Rowan Carter: Billionaire. Lycan King. Ruthless. Our deal was simple: I play the part of the perfect Luna to secure his empire. He pays for my mother’s surgery. No feelings. No touching. Just business.

Until one night in his office, he pinned me against his penthouse window.
He marked my neck, owned my body. Claimed me deep and hard. He made me scream his name until I forgot our marriage was a lie.

Then my pregnancy test turned pink. And my lover became the monster.
"You planned this," he sneered. He called me a trap. A gold digger.
And then he forced me to disappear with his son growing inside me.

Three years of hiding. I raised his boy alone, far from his empire. But now he’s back, walking into my boardroom to buy my company. Arrogant. Powerful. Until he sees the toddler with his storm-gray eyes.

The King stops breathing. He drops to his knees in front of everyone.
"Alicia..." his voice breaks. "Tell me he isn't mine."

He destroyed me once. Now he’s begging for a second chance.
But the Lycan King is about to learn... I’m not the prey anymore. And I’m going to make him bleed.

The timeline is all over the place... The P.I. is introduced twice - once in the beginning and then again near the end. Both times he investigated the same info about female lead... Too, the child has daycare in the same building as the mother works but the baby is never seen outside the office with the female lead? Also, there's an obvious discrepancy in the the timeline when the female lead leaves the male lead... In the version in the book, she leaves before telling him she's pregnant and leaves her wedding rings on his bed. But then in later chapters, they allude to the fact that she stayed with him through month seven of the pregnancy and threw the wedding rings at him when she left. The story is good, but this reads like a second or third draft.

Has great potential...

The story or at least the premise is good. not sure what happened but the ending has details in it that do not coincide woth the beginning of the book. Lycans weren't mentioned one time. The word Omega is used to describe the main character but besides only a few other details that may have elulluded to shifters were minimal and questionable. LYCAN KING wasnt mentioned one time....so thats very misleading and this book does NOT belong in fantasy. Overall, im pretty disapointedll and just glad I didnt pay for it.

Its o...k.. nah not really. Waste of time.

The idea of the plot was great but the plot was messy, The Male lead is a giant red flag and their miscommunications were frustrating. This is a shifter novel but there is no change or elaborating about that part of their worlds, no clarification on if everyone in New York was a shifter or just a small community. The Male lead being obsessive and monitoring makes sense if his up bring is considered but 30 whole years? He is smart yet not enough to analyze that his relationship with his father was toxic and damaging? The female lead's greatest weakness was her mother who at first I assumed was a good one if her child loves her so much but, doesn't a real parent know when their own kid is lying to them? There is no elaboration on the missing mother of the Male lead or the missing father of the female lead's and did they consumate their marriage on the wedding night or was that her fantasy? they both mentioned events that implied they had met prior to the the wedding despite the story initially being that they meet at their wedding. etc... I know this is a fantasy but Love based off what a person looks like without knowing them is weird and something that should only happen with your child not a life partner. falling in love with her while she does something admirable makes sense but not love at first sight in a world where georgous women are everywhere. etc, the narrator cold have been worse and thank you to the author if there is one for trying please get a proof reader.
