Lord Gillingham’s relentless pursuit of wealth and advantageous marriages for his daughters has taken its toll. As his daughters find happiness in their own ways, Lord Gillingham faces a stark reality: his scheming has brought him riches, but at what cost?

When Lady Pelbrook challenges him to reconsider what truly matters, Lord Gillingham embarks on a journey of reflection and redemption. Can he find a new purpose in life, and perhaps even love, in his later years?

Retiring with the Lady is a poignant, clean Regency romance about second chances, family, and finding happiness when you least expect it.

About The Lady Series: Meet a different Lady in each novella—bold, brilliant, and ready to rewrite the rules of Regency courtship. From scandalous horse rides to stolen kisses at Almack’s, love is always just a heartbeat away.

Book 6, and the final book of the series. It does well as part of the series, or as a stand alone book. I likes this book focused on an older couple, and not those in their teens and 20s. They were friends when they were younger, but life took them in different directions. He is now focused on money, and associates money with personal value. She is a kind and big hearted women. She brings him around, and they fall back in love again. The story is well written and engaging. The characters are interesting and relatable. The narration was well done. I received a free copy of this audiobook, and am voluntarily leaving my review.
