Rachel always thought I was wasting my life on the Sinners, but being Prez is all I've ever wanted to be.

When she tore us apart on her journey to become someone, I let her go. I made sacrifices for her because I knew why she had to prove herself. I just didn't realize that would involve freezing me out for years.

Now, she's the best criminal attorney in the Tri-state area, and I'm still Prez—only my world is falling apart. The MC is under scrutiny, our dirty secrets are being laundered in the public eye, and some of my brothers could be facing jail time.

Only one woman can stop that from happening—Rachel.

She'll fight for my brothers, but will she fight for us?

Rex is part one of the Last Bachelor Duet, followed by Rachel.

Serena Akeroyd has done herself proud with this crossover series. Rachel is such a broken character. How she puts herself back together with sheer will and Rex’s love and devotion leaves you with all the feels. HOWEVER! In my opinion, the female narrator, LESSA LAMB IS BEYOND WRONG for Rachel’s voice. At times it was literally like NAILS ON A CHALKBOARD for me. Serena does such an excellent job writing Rachel, that the narrator’s overly dramatic narration made me cringe. At times I had to go to the kindle app and just read the chapter. And to top it all off, her differentiation in voices for other characters was comical at best. I gave 2 stars because Connor Craise voiced Rex superbly. It’s too bad you can’t rate each narrator separately…
You definitely need to read these books in order! No getting around that; go to her website and look up reading order. Otherwise the gift of this crossover Five Points/Sinners universe cannot be truly appreciated.

Storytelling at its finest!

Rex has always been my fave and I’m so glad I finally get to hear part of his story. I love a strong male character who is supportive and knows what his woman needs! This one will get you in all the feels.

Great read!!

I actually liked the story, this is one of my favorite authors/series but Im confused why this is called Rex!? There was so much more of Rachael in this book than Rex, I ended up liking her growth in the end but it was frustrating for such a smart woman that it took so long for her to move on, get help and start dealing with her issues. She didnt treat Rex with the love and respect he deserved, I loved Rex....so patient, understanding and sweet! I love the male narrator hes one of my favorites, just wish there was more chapters he narrated! The female narrator was ok....Im not a fan of her "male" voices and what is with her breathy pauses? She would say a word pause then one more word pause....and kept doing that. I get she was trying to emphasize certain things or make it emotional but not every time she did it was it needed. To me it got old and frustrating, and ended up taking away from the story instead of adding to it. I will listen to Rachaels book but ironically I hope theres a lot more of Rex in that one than Rachael....and I hope the female narrator isnt so over the top with the breathy pauses...heres to hoping!

Good book but frustrating
