Ruling and developing a nation wasn't an easy task, but Asterios and his ladies always did their best nonetheless. Pushing forward new laws, systems, construction, and entertainment, they did whatever they could wherever it was possible. Not without a few issues, the new Dragon Guard was established, forming a connection with Lesser Dragons from the Phasmantia realm. The young wisdom-craving disciples were given their chance to learn about the world in the best possible environment, in exchange for offering service and protection to the growing Dragon Valley.
Now that everyone is settling into their new roles—the community flourishing amidst the improvements—Asterios and the girls can finally turn their attention to the long-awaited expedition into the Nethernight Realm, setting foot in the sealed world to grant the residents a taste of freedom. They are strong and well-prepared, accompanied by that dimension's very creator, but is that going to be enough? Even with Abyss' help, can they discover the source of the arcane lock hidden somewhere in that vast darkness? Nevermind that, are they going to be able to actually affect something of such humongous, nearly divine scale?
They don't know, but that's not going to stop them from lending a hand to one of their oldest friends and companions, no matter what challenges and battles await them in the world of darkest, vilest horrors.

great addition to the story

From the very beginning, you’re immediately reconnected with the characters. It’s that feeling of, “Yeah… I remember why I liked this group so much.” Even if it’s been a while, the story makes it easy to fall right back into their world and their dynamics.
One of the best parts of this volume is how it highlights just how far everyone has come.
It honestly gives off that “look how far we’ve come” kind of vibe. You see where the characters started, what they’ve gone through, and how those experiences have shaped them. And it’s not just about power-ups—this volume really emphasizes character growth. Everyone feels more developed, more mature, and more grounded in who they are.
The standout this time, though, is definitely our favorite shadow.
For a long time, he felt like a background presence—cool, but distant. In this volume, that changes. You finally start to understand him on a deeper level—his motivations, what he wants, and who he really is as a character. He steps out of the background and becomes someone you genuinely care about.
Another highlight is the goddess.
Her interactions with the cast are especially interesting here. You get to see more of how she views not just the main character, but the world she created. There’s a sense that her role is bigger than we initially thought, and her perspective adds a lot of depth to what’s going on.
This volume also dives deeper into backstories and hidden truths.
We learn more about certain characters’ pasts, and some long-standing mysteries start to unravel. There are even elements that were introduced before—things you might’ve forgotten—that suddenly come back into focus in a meaningful way.
Without spoiling anything, it really feels like there are hidden forces moving in the background. The world feels larger, more complex, and honestly a bit more dangerous. It gives off the sense that everything is slowly building toward something big—possibly another major conflict or war.
At the same time, the world still feels like it’s expanding.
There are concepts and elements—like the dragons—that still feel only partially understood, which keeps that sense of mystery alive and makes you curious about what’s coming next.
Overall, Volume 11 is a strong continuation of the series. It balances character development, world-building, and intrigue really well, while setting up what feels like something much bigger on the horizon.
If you’ve been following the series, this is a volume you definitely don’t want to miss.
