Against all odds, Rob and the Deserters have survived their second encounter with the eldritch abomination–known as the Blight–only for Rob to make first contact with the gods of Elatra in a very...aggressive way.

His enemies keep on piling up, and things are looking to get even tougher from here on out. If Rob and his friends want to survive their upcoming trials, they'll need to gain Levels, make new allies, and travel to the ends of the world and back again. Along the way, they'll discover some of the secrets behind Elatra's history, shaking their preconceptions of the world to its very core.

But what else is new? Rob has known for a long time that nothing was going to be easy. He's lost count of how many times he's almost died since being dragged through a portal against his will. Whether he's up against monsters, gods, or creatures beyond comprehension, Rob is determined to overcome it. He'll protect his friends, find a way home, and above all, survive.

There's no other choice.

The series is really really good. I cannot wait for the next one. I also hope to see Rob finally get back to Earth at some point or Jason to come to the New world also. I would love love to see like an ender shadow version that follows Jason from you know getting level 1 to level two his current levels. that would be an amazing book for after the series. please wait till after the series

can't wait for the next one.

Got this series originally because of the authors name. Though as I got into the series it let my heart reached, left me in awe, and excited for the next book. The author has a fantastic sense of humor, story telling, and stratified. I finished this series in a whole week. As for the narrator I’ve listened to a lot of his narrations they are all glorious. His voices are on point making the characters come more to life with each character development. Thank you to the author and the narrator. This is a series I’ve listened with my family and have suggested to friends. I definitely recommend it and can’t wait for the next one!

Absolutely gorgeous work

Pretty great series so far with interesting story. There’s certain parts that just drags on that could have been shortened. (Spoiler) The only real annoying part part is how the main character neglects the other rangers despite knowing full well their resentments about being sidelined from his party and how it’s boiling pit that will affect the integrity of the deserters. For someone with supposedly the highest diplomacy skill in that world, he keeps handling the situation poorly. I’m
Not sure why the author keeps taking this route with that subplot, but it’s ruining the suspension of disbelief.

Engaging story but does drags on in certain parts.

This has definitely moved up to the top 3 of my favorite series. Each book gets better and better. Love the dynamic of the world and the characters. MC is pretty OP but shares with whoever’s grouped with him so it makes it fun. And Neil is one of my favorite narrators!

Fantastic book!

I honestly must say like I said it is one of the best books I ever read it was funny it had great action in it and the narrating was great it was all around a good book plus the first two books they was also funny and everything else like that great amount of action and I like to have how he has this like this level and a half but somehow he's able to keep himself from losing it and then sometimes he does lose it so I like that about this book is this it has an equal amount of romance and action so another three all three books were great all three and hope to make a fourth and a fifth if they can.

one of the best books I ever read start to finish
