When civilization is an alien experiment, one unlikely hero must rewrite the ending.

In the fractured galaxy of 2427, disgraced pilot Geddy Starheart thought his biggest problem was retrieving his stolen starship. Little did he know he was about to become entangled in a cosmic conspiracy that threatens all of existence.

When Geddy teams up with a motley salvage crew to reclaim his custom-built vessel, he discovers an unexpected passenger: an alien entity called Eli, who reveals the shocking truth about the mysterious Zelnads. These cryptic beings created humankind as a test, and now they're ready to hit the reset button.

Armed with this knowledge and haunted by his past mistakes, Geddy has to navigate treacherous alliances, confront his personal demons, and win the trust of a formidable warrior princess whose homeworld stands as the last bastion against the Zelnad threat.

Aboard the aptly named For Sale Make Offer, Geddy and his unlikely crew race across the stars, desperately trying to reassemble a long-defunct galactic alliance for one final, epic showdown. The fate of countless worlds hangs in the balance as Geddy fights not just for redemption, but for the very soul of the universe.

I have read space operas where the main character is either too perfect or so bad he drives you crazy. I like that this main character was flawed for sure, but still a good person trying to do the right thing. It's hard to get into a book when you can't stand the main character but this one he wasn't so bad. And the storyline was entertaining. I also can't stand space operas where the crew ultimately loses all the time, where at the end of the book They're left almost in the same financial or otherwise situation as when they started the book. Like the crew just can't win. It's frustrating to read or listen to a whole book and there be awesome pay days or items or whatever and then through a series of bad luck and incidents they lose it all. I mean what's the point of books like that, to see the crew get so happy and invest so much time and energy into something only to lose it all and barely get away at the end. But that is not this book. Sure they have their ups and downs and plot twists but ultimately the it seems like they come out more on top, hopefully (spoilers), than not. So yeah, so far I'm liking this series more than some other space operas I've endured. I'm definitely listening to the next book.
