A deadly secret, an unexpected love that could cost everything.

Riley "Romeo" Hunt is an expert at finding those who don’t want to be found. When he's hired to catch a notorious jewel thief responsible for a brutal murder, he never expects to find a beautiful woman caught in the middle.

Jules is running for her life. After witnessing her grandfather’s murder during a heist gone wrong, she’s left with nothing but the haunting memory of his death—and the killer's vow to silence her, too. She has no choice but to flee, leaving behind everything she’s ever known.

As Riley and Jules cross paths in a desperate race to uncover the truth behind the murder, the lines between ally and enemy blur. With danger closing in, sparks fly between them—igniting a forbidden attraction neither one of them anticipated.

Riley promised himself he would never fall in love. But with every heartbeat, his resolve begins to crumble, and the feelings he carries for Jules grow stronger.

But love is a double-edged sword, especially when it’s wielded by enemies who will stop at nothing to destroy them both.
In a world of lies and deceit, Riley and Jules must decide: Is love worth the risk?

I love the interesting way she “unfolds” the character’s personalities and passions in her own unique way. She is an excellent writer !

This book was just as good as the first two in the series. I loved the enemies-to-lovers dynamic—it added great tension and made the romance especially satisfying. The storyline was strong, engaging, and so well paced that I listened to it straight through in one sitting.

I really appreciated how the story touched on real-life situations while still staying clean. It struck a nice balance between emotional depth, suspense, and romance without relying on unnecessary shock value.

The narration has definitely improved as the series goes on. Whether the narrators found their stride or I simply grew more accustomed to them, they did a solid job bringing the story to life this time around.

As with the previous books, I still felt the faith element was a bit overdone at times. I understand this is a Christian series, but I would have preferred a slightly lighter touch so it felt more organic within the story.

I did miss their sister, Lonnie, since she wasn’t featured as much in this one, but it was great hearing from the rest of the brothers again. I also enjoyed the continued connections to Bravo and Echo and the setup for the upcoming books in the series.

Overall, this was another strong installment and a very satisfying listen.

I really enjoyed the first two Hunt Brothers books. Romeo was a great mystery and unraveling it was exciting, thrilling with an unexpected ending. Great mystery story.
The romance was cold and distant with disinterest from both Riley and Jules. She wanted security from him and later found him attractive and caring, but it felt more like a dysfunctional need for security and needing someone to care. His interest was never really built up - she was attractive, he wanted to show her Christian kindness and there was a forced sort of hero angst -someone needs to save this poor woman, but there was no real love build up in my opinion. Definitely not like the first book.
The narrators do a great job. I really like Savannah Rivers voice for the women and men. David Garver is good with the men's voices.

The mystery was great -romance was forced
