Ken Solin voice fit right in with the cowboy life. He did a good job narrating it.

Great book!

Overall a great story line Piper writes really good books. This one I almost stopped listening to because it was hard to differentiate between the characters, but I did stick it out till the end.

I can't with this narrator...

This book sounds promising. The description, I mean. The narrator? I tried. I tried so hard. But it's cringe worthy. I felt like my dad was reading to me, and not in the hot "daddy" sort of way. More like, my dad was reading Green Eggs And Ham for the millionth time and it was his least favorite book in the world, but he'd read as long as I fell asleep by the end so he too could go to bed.

Every character sounds the same. Every sentence has the same cadence. Does he sound like a cowboy? Eh. Not really. Okay, maybe. A boring, deadpan one void of any emotion. He was boring when he punch a guy! There was ZERO emotion behind any of the narration and what emotion there was, was forced and patronizing. I just can't with one.
