Salvage is the first book in the Delphic Dame space opera trilogy. It picks up Cherry's story three years after Nora's disruption of Human Sector society in the Adventures of a Xeno-Archaeologist series.

I wanted to like this

Kept listening hoping the story would pick up. Unfortunately for me it never did. This turned it'll some uncle Roger style E-motional Damage

loved It!

This is another Jenny Schwartz winner! It begins after one of my favorite J. Schwartz series: “The Adventures of a Xeno-Archaeologist.” The Delphic Dame Series picks up the story from Cherry’s perspective and I LOVE IT!!!! If you prefer a more cerebral Sci-Fi action story, this is the author and series for you. My only con is I kept holding off listening to the 1st two books because I wanted to listen to the available 3rd book in the series and it wasn’t available. But I am happy I didn’t wait, Tess Irondale did such a great job that as I start reading book three I feel I gained nuance I wouldn’t have otherwise. ***applause***

I enjoy a good space story, world building and cultural interactions. I liked the way the author gave context to backstory. I often had to pause and rewind to make sure I caught the conversation. The cliffhanger was quite a surprise and a little out of left field, on to book two to find out more about left field!

I enjoyed this read and cried “No” when it ended. There better be a book 2.
