The dream is odd, and Blake thinks nothing of it until things from his dream start coming true. It quickly becomes clear to Blake that his dream, still clear in his memory, was more than just a dream. Using what he learned in the dream life, Blake sets his sights on correcting the wrongs and creating a new future for himself. His first goal, to find a way to save his father, who was killed in a gang initiation gone wrong.

Covering the fall of Blake's freshman year, Second Down is a story of friends, football, and finding a new path.

Absolutely impossible to stop listening

Once I started this it just sucked me in like very few books do. I was sitting in my car long after I would arrive somewhere and listening on my earbuds and finding ways to be listening way more than I usually would with a audio-book. Interesting set up but what it comes down to is just really great writing, and a good narrator who does not destroy the great writing with background noise and poor performance. So 5 stars all around!

Fun read

Don't we all wish we could have a second chance at life and, like the protagonist, start over at 14. With a life's full of experience and knowledge to go with the start over. Well written and researched with the only negative being that the girl friend would have ordered Dr. Pepper ( or Diet DP) living in west Texas, not Diet Coke. But that's trivial compared to the highly entertaining book that this is.
Please publish the other's in the series asap.

Great book

I really enjoyed this book and the performance. Travis is an excellent author and really have enjoyed listening and reading his books over the last year.
