I’d like to preface this by saying it was never my intention to ever get involved in a workplace romance, let alone get involved with the most surly, agitating, and pompous man I’ve ever met who just so happens to be my new friend’s brother.

My intentions were to show students how English and reading books could actually be fun and make a new life for myself in the suburbs of Chicago.

I can not rave about this one enough!!!

I can not remember the last time that a book had me laughing out loud so much! Arlo is a total jerk right from the beginning..... and he doesn't really get too much better. There were many points where I wanted them to just get it on already, because DAMN that tension was on point. And then when they finally do? 🥵🥵🥵 And then there was the "grand gesture". That was so freaking well thought out! And the way that the principal of the school seems to know everything that is going on had me DYING!!! I was totally embarrassed for them! Definitely one I will scream from the rooftops about because this book is worth every freaking penny!!!

Enemies to lovers fun

I absolutely enjoyed this title from Meghan Quinn! The blurb for this book caught my eye right away and when you add in some of my favorite narrators? I couldn't click "buy" fast enough! This title had me laughing, shaking my head and definitely gave me some swoony moments in the end.

I thought Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber did a fantastic job bringing Greer and Arlo to life. I mean, I love Zachary Webber to pieces, but even that didn't make me fall for Arlo right away! These portrayals were just spot on and kept me engaged all the way through. I felt they pulled me right into the story and I was hooked all the way through.

The supporting characters in this book totally stole my heart and I wouldn't mind knowing more about them in other books (no pressure, Mss. Quinn!) I loved the setting in this book; I adore workplace romances and this one was just a lot of fun. This is a book I enjoyed and will definitely listen to again.

Enemies to lovers

This is a good story about Greer, a new teacher in the English department at the high school level, and Arlo, the head of the English department. Arlo is a by-the-book teacher and Greer is innovative teacher with unorthodox teaching methods. Greer is attracted to Arlo even though he is her department head. I like Meghan Quinn's writing but this book seems like it was more like students instead of teachers with the pranks that Greer and her teacher friends play on Arlo. I liked how Arlo takes his sister's advise to go with her to counseling to figure out why he keeps people at arms length. After that. he's more likeable and he tries harder to win Greer over. The book was better after Greer and the other teachers decide not to play pranks. I thought Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber were great narrators.

Arlo & Greer

Two teachers with different styles of teaching butt heads. Strong attraction and desire supercedes their differences until one learns they can trust and let go of control and embrace change. Good story, though I think Arlo changed to quickly into a whipped puppy. However it was nice to see emotions from a man who didn't have any to start with. Love Zachary Webber and Erin Mallon as the narrators. Would have like to see how their HEA turned out a few years out.

Hilarious!!

What a fun enemies to lovers!!! It was absolutely hilarious!!! I seriously fell to the floor laughing at one point! There was a little point in the middle where I hated the hero so much that I considered stopping, but the heroine knows her worth and quickly put an end to the things bothering me!! I loved Greer! She’s so strong and intelligent. Granted all her brains go out the window when she drinks, but it was hilarious! I couldn’t stand Arlo for the most part, but I love it when a hero works his butt off to redeem himself and succeeds. I’ll definitely be listening to this again! Especially with such amazing narrators!! They did an exceptional job bringing this story to life!!
