From the beloved author of Kit McBride Gets a Wife and Marrying Off Morgan McBride comes a ‘sweet, hilarious and totally delicious’ love story (Hannah Grace). Beau McBride wants a wife, and his meddling little sister Junebug is itching to find him a mail-order bride. But why stop at just one?

Beau McBride reckons he’s ready for marriage. But his ego is bigger than his brain, and his little sister Junebug can’t trust him to find the right woman. So they make a bet, both placing ads in the Matrimonial News for mail-order brides. But when she discovers that Beau has already made his pick, Junebug decides to even the odds ... by inviting six more brides to meet her brother.

Ellie Neale doesn’t expect much from life – and life hasn’t given her much, except a head full of daydreams and her beautiful best friend Diana. And now Diana has answered an ad to be a mail-order bride – with some letter-writing help from Ellie – and she's leaving for Montana. Unwilling to lose her only friend, Ellie answers an ad of her own, which will take her to the same town Diana is headed for. But there's a hitch: when they arrive, Ellie and Diana realise they're here for the same husband. Along with five other women!

With seven brides vying for Beau’s attention, he needs to make a decision – fast. The only problem is, his heart longs for the one woman who wants nothing to do with him.

Critic reviews

‘Sweet, hilarious and totally delicious, Seven Brides for Beau McBride is the perfect book to escape into. I adore this series!’ (Hannah Grace)
‘A jewel of a novel. It had me snort laughing and swooning all at once. The perfect romantic escape from today’s troubles that I didn’t know I needed. Please can I request the TV series!’ (Tess Woods)
‘Bless yore beautiful hide, Amy Barry. I’m in seventh heaven after devouring the latest McBride adventure. Ellie and Beau are adorably unputdownable!’ (Amy Andrews)
‘Thank goodness there are so many McBride siblings, what a delight to be back in the glorious chaos of Buck's Creek, Montana: I love it here. Author Amy Barry has hit her stride with her third instalment of this beloved series, a pitch-perfect epistolary romance. Beau's story is driven by a bet with his willful sister Junebug, who orders up no less than six mail-order brides to compete with the one Beau found himself, resulting in a kind of frontier version of The Bachelor. There's a classic Cyrano situation with loyal Ellie writing her beautiful friend Diana's letters to Beau. There are mistletoe kisses and stolen moments, a Christmas dance and a marauding bear. Pure joyful, hilarious escape.’ (Clare Fletcher)
Seven Brides for Beau McBride is the sparkling, swoony, and laugh-out-loud funny romance we all need right now. The perfect tonic for these turbulent times. You’ll be smiling all the way through.’ (Mimi Matthews)
'What a delight to be back in Bitterroot with the McBrides! True to form, Amy Barry brings us hijinks, hilarity, and a wonderfully sweet love story that had me smiling from start to finish. With cast of characters who will have you laughing, sighing, and swooning, Seven Brides for Beau McBride is a keeper!’ (Elizabeth Everett)
Seven Brides for Beau McBride is a rollicking good time. It’s a joyful romp of a book with a deep emotional heart that pulls you in and refuses to let you go, even after you’ve turned the last page. It’s a love letter to friends, to letters themselves, and to little sisters taking matters into their hands.' (Jodi McAlister)

I'm always here for whatever shenanigans that Junebug has cooked up, and this installment not only didn't disappointment on the hijinks, but has been my favorite McBride book yet!

Our heroine and unsuspecting prospective bride Ellie is very Anne Shirley-coded, with her runaway imagination, love of books, and endless loyalty to her best friend, the beautiful Diana. (Ellie, it must be said, has a rose-leaf complexion that Anne would have envied.)

Beau thinks he's going to marry Diana, but is surprised to meet Ellie and the other five prospect brides lured to Montana under false and Junebug-created circumstances. Ellie feels attracted to Beau alongside much unending guilt of shameful betrayal of her dearest friend. She sidesteps this much of the time by coaching Beau's courtship of Diana - look, they just have to practice polite kissing, okay??

The friendship between Ellie and Diana has some nice development notes along the way, making this book feel extra well-rounded as it explores sibling, friend, and romantic relationships.

Loved this one (and enjoyed the audio reading as well!), can't wait for the next!

Favorite in the Series!

Wow, Junebug really did it this time!! This one had me laughing my head off. But it all worked out in the end, although it wasn’t easy.

The ending has me excited to see what happens when Junebug’s brothers interfere in her life. She is NOT going to like it!!

The McBride family are really fun and I don’t want this series to end!! I’d miss them terribly! I’m excited for the next story!!

I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH!!!
